Cine loops show balloon dilatation of stenotic pulmonary valve in a 3 yr old symptomatic giry. After intervention there was improvement in symptoms.
It is procedure of choice for pulmonary stenosis. A balloon is placed across narrowed pulmonary valve.. It is inflated and deflated which relieves narrowing and improves flow. The procedure is performed in catheterization laboratory just like angiography. (Cath Lab).

It is sometimes emergency and life saving procedure. In symptomatic patients, it can performed any time after birth i.e. even in neonates , infants or grownups.
